Alhambra Night Time guided tour with pick-up

Discover the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Alhambra Nasrid Palaces at night time. Escorted by your local private guide you will explore beyond the beautiful Moorish architecture to learn the history of one of the most visited attractions in the world in spectacular illumination under the night sky.

The sun goes down and the gates of the Alhambra are reopened. The visit commences at the Alhambra Atrium and the route begins along a passageway by the walls, looking onto the Water Tower and arriving at the Palace of Charles V (on visit) through the gates Gate of Justice or the Gate of cars.

Leave modern life at the door as you enter into the Nasrid Palaces. Visiting the Palace at this peaceful time of the day is a moving and more intimate experience. Under the night sky you can see the moon and stars in the distance from the windows of the palace Mexuar. In the courtyard of the Cuarto Dorado, the abundance of stars in the night sky above creates an almost magical atmosphere, one which can only be appreciated by visiting at this time.

Enjoy the relaxing sound of flowing water from the fountains as you walk to the palace of Comares with the court of the Myrtles and then on to the impressive and famous Court of the Lions , the Hall of the Two Sisters and Lindaraja viewpoint where the sound of water takes over your senses.

Visiting the Alhambra at night is truly a unique and memorable experience. There really is something magical about viewing its magnificent architecture fully lit up under a peaceful Andalucian night sky.

The Alhambra (from Arabic الْحَمْرَاء = Al-Ħamrā’, literally the red one ; the celpmote name was الْقَلْعَةُ ٱلْحَمْرَاءُ = al-Qal’at al-Ħamrā’ = the red fortress ) is a palace and fortress complex of the Moorish rulers of Granada in southern Spain (known as Al-Andalus when the fortress was constructed during the mid 14th century), occupying a hilly terrace on the southeastern border of the city of Granada.Once the residence of the Muslim rulers of Granada and their court, the Alhambra is now one of Spain’s major tourist attractions exhibiting the country’s most famous Islamic architecture, together with Christian 16th century and later interventions in buildings and gardens that marked its image as it can be seen today. Within the Alhambra, the Palace of Charles V was erected by Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor in 1527.
