Visit the region of Guadix, its cave houses, natural deserts and the Castle of La Calahorra

Visit the region of Guadix, its cave houses, natural deserts and the Castle of La Calahorra. You will also have time to contemplate the desert of Tabernas, place where many movies of the famous Spaghetti Western of Hollywood were shot. All this added to an exquisite lunch with local products.

After picking you up at your accommodation or at the agreed meeting point, we will explore the most impressive and beautiful landscape of northern Granada, near the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Guadix is known for its Paleolithic past and its cave houses, many of which are still occupied by the people of the village. The city also has a rich heritage of monuments, most notably the Cathedral of La Encarnación, built in a Gothic and Baroque style, and built on top of an old mosque.

Visit the cave district and the Tropolis, a museum located in an original cave, learn about cave dwellings and how people lived and still live, experiencing their traditions and craft professions.

Enjoy the landscape and take pictures of the Calahorra Castle, located on a hill above the town of the same name, one of the first Italian Renaissance castles outside Italy built on an ancient Moorish fortification.

Finally, explore for yourself the Tabernas desert, a landscape of arid slopes and the location chosen by the Hollywood directors who created Spaghetti Western. Find out where they filmed Lawrence of Arabia, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, A Fistful of Dollars and much more. And finally, enjoy the most exquisite local lunch.
