The Narrowest Hotel in the World is in Granada

The Molinos Hotel, located just steps from the famous Alhambra in the city of Granada, is considered by the Guinness Book of Records as the narrowest hotel in the world thanks to its barely five feet wide.

The hotel, which holds the record since 1996, is located in the street Molinos which is in a traditional neighborhood of Granada, Realejo neighborhood, and it is in front of the gate of the Alhambra, also very close to the Cathedral.

The maximum width of this hotel is 5.2 meters at its widest point with a depth of 16.40 meters and it has nine rooms on three floors. It doesn´t have a lift and the reception desk is used as a cafeteria.

The good use of space provided a room where the narrowness of the hotel is not perceived because it is decorated in soft colors. The balconies are viewpoints in this traditional neighborhood preserving its historic charm.

The hotel tour doesn´t finish in the third floor. After climbing another flight of stairs you access to a panoramic terrace where you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Realejo and Sierra Nevada peaks.

The geographic location of this hotel makes it have a high demand of tourists both national and abroad. Formerly the only access to the Alhambra went through the door of the hotel, allowing the hotel to be known worldwide.
